The Moldovan – Czech cooperation on the dimension of the European integration was discussed in Prague

20th of June, Prague – The progresses in the implementation of the reforms and on the agenda of the RM-EU political dialogue, as well as the ways to extend cooperation in the framework of the Eastern Partnership were the main subjects of the discussions that were held in Prague between State Secretary, Daniela Morari, with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for European Issues, Jakub Durr, and Special Envoy for Eastern Partnership within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Jana Sindelkova.

The discussions have been focused on the latest developments of the RM-EU political dialogue, the main achievements and challenges in the implementation of the Association Agreement. The European officials emphasized the importance for the Republic of Moldova to continue the reforms and also to strengthen the strategic communication capabilities.

State Secretary Daniela Morari presented to the interlocutors the priorities of the Republic of Moldova concerning the cooperation within the new multilateral architecture of the Eastern Partnership, besides the current state of implementation of the Eastern Partnership priorities until 2020. In this context, the opportunities to develop new initiatives on the dimension of bilateral cooperation were discussed, as well to extend the cooperation between the associated countries within the framework of the Eastern Partnership.

The parties exchanged views on the Common Security and Defense Policy of the EU, the security situation at regional level, including the Transnistrian settlement process. The Moldovan side was assured of the continuous political support of the European partners in the process of identifying a viable and comprehensive political solution to the conflict, based on the sovereignty and the territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova.
